They beat the Java Monster by 10% with the energy Vitamins. The first thing I noticed that this goes fro the straight 200% in the B Vitamins. 200% Vitamin B6.ġ020mg potassium! Dang! 29% of daily value! Dang yo. So! Let’s hop in to see what’s in this drink.Ģ00 calories. IT doesn’t have any historical context gimmick like some of these drinks do. There’s a little excerpt on the back of this can that basically says drink this cool thing because it is Starbuck’s awesome coffee with guarana and B Vitamins! It is what you’d expect. I’ll give a point to Java Monster for that. What do I see on Loca Mocha? The cool looking wood. What do I see when I first look at this can? The Starbucks Lady. It is simple if you compare it to Monster who usually have cool designs on their cans. Guarana is a fruit or at least they use the seeds of the fruit. That’s usually an afterthought with most energy drinks, but hey! They can go for it. I am surprised they really emphasize guarana. If you know energy drinks, like I probably do by now, those are three things most of them have in it. It says right on the fairly boring can that it has guarana, B Vitamins, and ginseng in it. This was probably 2 or 2.50, which is close to what an energy drink costs these days. Then they have their non-store products like this and I tend to avoid them because they sometimes go for 5 bucks. I feel like people are love or hate with Starbucks. I don’t go there for coffee because I have Wawa and Wawa is worlds cheaper. What do I think of Starbucks? Not much honestly. I kinda looked and I could see the whole anti-caking stuff in the ingredients. This is straight coffee with energy drink stuff on the side. In retrospect, that sounds bloody gross, but isn’t that basically what flavoured tea is? It was supposed to be a green coffee where the beans are mixed in with a drink. This is only my second Starbucks product! The first one I did was a coffee lemonade which I can’t really recall that well. I’m pretty sure they cost about the same amount, at least where I got this one from they were. This is Starbuck’s version of a mocha energy drink so I thought I’d give it a try and see which I like better. I liked Java Monster for the most part, especially Loca Mocha. This is called Doubleshot Energy which is a coffee energy drink. This is basically Starbuck’s response to Java Monster I’m sure. Overall - 15.9/20.I found this cool thing after searching for Salted Caramel Java Monster. Around lunch I was feeling a bit tired but all I had to do was rehydrate myself with some green tea. The caffeine had me on an energy high for a few hours and then I started to slowly lose it. Drinking the can gave me a nice boost in the morning with no jitters. It is higher by only 2 to 4 mg, but it technically is the highest. The one difference between Moca Loca and the other Monster Javas is the caffeine content - 190 mg. The Loca Moca tastes a lot like Mean Bean, there is hardly any difference between the two. This is still a great tasting iced coffee energy drink, but I was expecting a bolder coffee flavour. The coffee finish is rather short, but there is a long milky finish. The taste is light, milky and sweet with the coffee taste coming in mostly in the finish. OK, it does not taste as bold as I expected it to. Remember to shake these before opening as some of the stuff might be trapped at the bottom. That did the trick and the color changed to medium brown. Odd I thought so I gave it a good swirl and shook the bottom. The drink is not as dark as I expected it to be at first - it was light brown, a lot like Mean Bean. The label is dark, darker than all other Monster Javas. I haven't seen this kind of iced coffee energy drink many places, so when I came across it at Sobeys, I picked up a can for $2.99. This is the fourth, and last, kind of monster java that I am aware of.
